§          Updating of participants’ knowledge in contemporary gender/women’s studies and European studies, through a cross-disciplinary intersection.

§          Development of the participants’ methodological capacity for interdisciplinary and critical research (with the application of their own contextual standpoint) and teaching approach.

§          Establishment of a informal/formal Network of SEE scholars initiating research and other scholarly projects that will result in new and innovative concepts, ideas, theories in the subject area of the Seminar, enriching the regional and wider European discourses on this topic/s.

§          Transcending the intellectual and geo-political divide by establishing concrete projects (network, team-research initiatives, and similar) with the mediation and/or immediate collaboration with the ATHENA, Advanced Thematic Network in Activities in Women’s Studies in Europe.

§          Enhanced capacity for critical, independent and innovative scholarship of the Seminar’s participants.

§          Development of the skills for interactive teaching that promotes and nourishes student’s ability for critical thinking.

§          Improvement of the capacity for innovative teaching, making use of the different possible sources of information (visual materials, on-line sources, etc.)

§          Application of the acquired knowledge and skills in participants’ home-institutions that will be encouraged and supported through teamwork, exchange with the fellow participants and the resource-persons, made possible by the web-site and list created especially for this purpose.
